SnapMark Scanner iPhone App

SnapMark Scanner is a companion app for SnapMark Pro. It connects only to the WordPress and WooCommerce site chosen by the operator. The app does not create a Plugin District account and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs, or telemetry. Plugin District does not receive the traffic exchanged between the app and the paired WordPress site.

Information processed by the app

  • The camera is used to scan a one-time pairing QR code and order QR codes. Camera images and video are processed on the device and are not retained or uploaded.
  • The paired site URL, WordPress username, and dedicated Application Password are stored on the iPhone. The credential is protected by iOS Keychain.
  • An offline or unconfirmed scan queue can store an event identifier, one-way site binding, scanned token, selected action, and capture time. It does not store customer names, addresses, or order details.
  • Scans and attendance requests are sent directly to the operator’s paired WordPress site.

WordPress records and retention

The paired WordPress site stores operational records needed for idempotent retries and attendance. SnapMark Pro automatically deletes those scan-event records after seven days. SnapMark also keeps the site’s most recent 500 scan-log entries for operational troubleshooting; older entries are replaced as new entries are added, and the site operator controls the WordPress database.

Controls and deletion

Disconnecting removes the paired credential from the app. Pending items can be removed from the Offline screen, and uninstalling the app removes its local app data. A WordPress administrator can revoke app access at any time by deleting its “SnapMark Scanner” Application Password. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
